Acclaimed for his innovative and distinctive approach, Yves Desrosiers is the recipient of several prestigious prizes including multiple ADISQ and JUNO nominations and awards for his work as a musician, producer, and composer. This gifted multi-instrumentalist has worked with some of the most recognized names in the Canadian music industry, among which Rufus Wainwright, Sarah McLaughlin, Daniel Bélanger, Jean Leloup, and Richard Desjardins.
The mythical album "La Llorona" which Desrosiers, co-composed, arranged, produced, and played on with artist Lhasa de Sela, sold over half a million copies, received numerous awards and propelled him on a 2-year tour across Europe and America. Ever since, Yves Desrosiers has been sought out for a wide range of creative projects such as the production of multiple albums, scoring Canadian and International films (Charles Binamé, Robin Aubert, Santiago Amigorena), arranging music for solo musicians to full-blown orchestras, all the while releasing three solo albums (Volodia, Chansons indociles, Bordel de Tête). Desrosiers has greatly contributed to the vitality of the Québec and Canadian music scene for the past thirty years.
