BIO
A native of Lac-Saint-Jean, Frédéric Lalancette has been working in the entertainment industry for the past 8 years. During these years, he toured in Asia where he was able to perfect his skills on stage and gain experience as a performer. He has also organized several benefit shows for charities such as the Maison Michel Sarrasin as a solo artist. Along the way, Frédéric follows several courses to perfect his skills with Lise Boyer, Hélène Parent, Catherine Pinard, and Séverine Parent (Cirque du Soleil).
As a songwriter and composer, he attends Robert Léger and Danièle Faubert's workshops given by the SPAQ. As of 2012, he has been on the competition circuit, starting his journey at the Festival de la chanson de St-Ambroise and was a finalist at the Cabaret de la relève de Roberval. In 2015, he won the prize for Performer in the "Caisse qui chante" competition, and the same year he was a finalist in the "Ma Première Place des Arts", competing as a Performer. Following that success, King Melrose, who was on the jury, offered him a mentoring opportunity. Meanwhile, he begins an exploring his art as an author by collaborating with various authors and composers such as Amélie Larocque (Marc Dupré, 2 Frères), Frédérick Baron (Céline Dion, Mario Pelchat), Eric Charland (Mélissa Ouimet), King Melrose, Laurence Castera, Marieve Proulx, and Benjamin Goron in order to build a repertoire that is personal and close to him.
2018 presents itself as the year in which he will finally present his musical project to the general public. In parallel, he leads an acting career by appearing in several commercials such as AirMédic, Desjardins, and Air Transat in addition to having a few roles in television productions (Les beaux malaises) or web (Coming out).
